Can Carpenter ants damage my house? How do I get rid of carpenter ants?

Carpenter ants can cause extensive damage to a home with colonies ranging in size from 25,000 to up to 50,000 ants. Carpenter ants don’t eat wood but burrow through it building tunnels to establish new nests.

After all Carpenter ants have been eliminated, structural repairs to insure they do not re-infest your home are recommended.

How do I get rid of squirrels in the attic?

Once squirrels decide to make your attic their home, it can be very difficult to get rid of squirrels for good. It is common for squirrels, once removed from the attic, to try to re-enter by chewing through wood and siding. Squirrels in the attic can also chew through electrical wiring causing a serious fire hazard.

Squirrels can be difficult to capture in live traps but this is often a good first step. After that, consider wildlife-specific strobe lights(Evictor) that make the attic uncomfortable for the squirrels. Once all of the squirrels have been removed, structural repairs must be made to prevent the squirrels from re-entering.
