Roach droppings.  How to identify roach droppings and get rid of roaches quickly?

Roach droppings are sometimes compared to black pepper or coffee grounds.  Like bed bug stains, roach droppings can also appear as dark brown to black fecal stains.  Larger cockroaches, such as the American cockroach, leaves droppings that can sometimes be confused with droppings from mice or rats.

After identifying the type of roach infestation you have, measures specific to that cockroach species need to be used.  For all cockroach infestations, sanitation is key.  After that, a combination of insect growth regulators, cockroach baits, liquid insecticides, dust insecticides, and traps can be used.

How do gnats get in your house?

Gnats is a general term used to describe hundreds of different species of small flying insects.  The type of gnat needs to be determined first to figure out how they got in your house in the first place and how to get rid of them. Areas of organic matter and/or moisture in your home are two of the most common places for gnats to live and breed.

Fungus gnats frequently come into the home and live and breed in moist organic matter such as houseplants.  Fruit flies can be brought into the home in fruit but also love areas with moisture and organic matter such as kitchen and bathroom drains.  Drain flies are common in bathrooms, living in drains and drain traps.

Best mouse trap bait?

Purchasing the right traps to get rid of mice in your home is only the first step.  The next and most important step is selecting the right bait to attract mice to the trap.  After determining the best bait you may need to monitor traps for signs of activity.  Sometimes it is necessary to rotate baits to keep mice interested.

One of the most effective mouse trap baits is peanut butter.  Other options include: pet food, chocolate, nesting materials, and soft candies such as gum drops.  Mice have poor eyesight but have a very good sense of smell, so selecting baits they can smell is essential.

What kills rats instantly home remedies?

Serious rat infestations in your home will likely require a serious solution, professional pest and extermination companies specializing in rat extermination.  For small infestations, are there home remedies to get rid of rats and are they effective?  There are a number of home remedies you can try including some essential oils, common kitchen spices, salt, and cleaning products such as ammonia.

There is not a lot of data to support the effectiveness of home remedies to kill rats.  The most effective option to kill rats quickly often involves a combination of methods including snap traps, rat glue traps, structural repairs, and as a last resort, rat poison.

How to get squirrels out of attic?

Finding signs of pest damage or pest poop can be a significant concern, especially if it is squirrels.  Squirrels in the attic are a serious problem.  Squirrels can cause enormous damage to a home, chewing through siding, eaves, and even electrical wiring.  Once squirrels have invaded a home once, it is likely they will try again.

Structural repairs are a must to try to prevent new squirrels from attempting to enter your home or attic.  For squirrels already inside the home, trapping is often the best option.  Live-catch traps baited with sunflower seeds can be quite effective.  Squirrels can also be trap-shy, so be patient while the squirrels adjust to the presence of the trap.

What to do about earwigs in house?

Earwigs are considered occasional invaders in our homes.  Earwigs live outdoors but may try to come inside looking from shelter, either from cold weather or hot, dry weather.  Earwigs prefer to live in areas that are cool and damp.

When earwigs to invade our homes, it is common to find them in areas where there is moisture including kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms.  To solve an earwig problem, think outside first.  Remove all excess vegetation, wood, and dead leaves.  After that, most insecticide sprays will be effective reducing earwig infestations inside of the home.
